Hair care during Carnival: 4 tips to maintain hair health

Still don’t know which hairstyle to go for this carnival? Braids, adornments and glitter are partygoers’ favorite choices. Regardless of your plans, it is important to know that our hair deserves special attention at this time of year.

During this period, we cause a lot of damage with exposure to heat, sweat and excess products. With this in mind, we must be very careful with the consequences, such as: dryness, breakage and lack of shine.




Here are some tips on how to take care of your hair during this festive season:


Don’t forget to protect your hair from heat and sun.
For those of you who are going to enjoy Carnival while traveling, don’t forget to apply a good thermal/sun protector to your hair. Both sea salt and pool chlorine dry out your hair.

Using products with sun protection and thermal protection agents on your hair is more than mandatory during Carnival. Careful application: from the length to the ends, never at the roots.

Avoid excess glitter in your hair. 
For those of you who are going to perfect your hairstyle with glitter, be very careful! If you can’t avoid it, as soon as the party is over, just wash your hair with running water to remove all the glitter, then apply shampoo and conditioner.

Pay attention when styling your hair.
Use ponytails and braids. But always secure it with elastics and clips that don’t break your hair.


After the festivities, don’t forget: wash your hair well! 
Heat and humidity attack the scalp and can cause inflammation and seborrhea. The ideal is to keep your hair and scalp always clean and sanitized. Wearing caps and hats also helps.
